A Brahminy Kite sub-adult looks out for food from its perch on a stormy evening near Kodiyakkarai, Tamil Nadu. These kites are found close to human habitation and water bodies. As this juvenile becomes an adult, it will lose the rust tinges in its head and breast which will turn white.
